OXFORD, Ohio -- A rash of break-ins led police in Oxford to ask residents to notify them whenever they leave town.More than a half-dozen burglaries were reported over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, and students at Miami University reported stolen DVDs, CDs and a flat-screen television.
Police asked residents to check in with police online for the chance to win a free vacation and have officers monitor their houses while they’re away.
